Earnest Pye, Sr.

Salisbury – Earnest Pye, Sr., 63 died Friday, February 2, 2018 at his home in Salisbury, Maryland.

Born in Valdosta, GA, he was the son of the late Otis and Viola (Marshall) Pye.

He made his home in Salisbury in the late 70’s.

He was formerly employed as a cook with the former Johnny and Sammy’s Restaurant and IHOP, both in Salisbury.

He was a member of New Dimensions Ministries in Salisbury.

He is survived by his wife: Dorothea Pye of Salisbury; four children: Loretta (Lamar) Daniels of Ft. Bragg, NC; Kiesha (Wallace) Pye, Voncia and Earnest Pye, Jr., all of Georgia; three stepchildren: LoMar and Shawn Belote and Theodore James Ballard, Jr., all of Salisbury; ten grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; four great grandchildren; nine siblings: Robert (Rochelle) & James Pye and Mary Lee, all of Dade City, FL; George and Jimmy (Regina) Pye  and Frankie Mae (Russell) Berrian, all of Valdosta, GA; Artis Pye o Lake Butler, FL, Annie Grace Hall of Orlando, FL and Mamie Hall of Salisbury, MD; several brothers and sisters-in-law and a host of nieces and nephews.

A brother Johnny Pye and sister Rosie Mae Pye preceded him in death.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Friday, February 16, 2018 at New Dimensions Ministries in Salisbury where friends may view one hour prior to service.  Interment will be in Green Acres Memorial Park in Salisbury.
