Franklin Dashiell Stewart was born on May 2, 1969 in Baltimore, Maryland. As a child, Frank looked forward to spending summers in Allen, Maryland with Granny and family. He especially loved staying up late eating and watching movies. He enjoyed playing sports in South Philadelphia where he grew up. He was able to use his athletic skills to work as a lifeguard at the YMCA and teach his younger brother, Elee, how to swim.
After high school, Frank attended Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, NC. During this time, he became a member of Omega Psi Phi fraternity, Inc. and forever loved purple and gold!
Frank’s special interest included reading, writing, music, playing tennis, spending time with family and friends and hanging with his fraternity brothers. We will always remember Frank as being tall, dark and handsome with a charming smile and personality!
Frank is remembered by his loving children, Christopher Stewart and Samaya Young Stewart. They remained Frank’s strength during his long battle with cancer.
Frank is survived by his Parents, Lee Stewart and Pamela Stewart, his two children Christopher and Samaya; brother Elee; fiancé Lani Powell and a host of family and friends.
Faith, determination, courage and strength describe Frank.
He will be greatly missed.
