Jessica N. (Lankford) Rose

Jessica Nora Lankford Rose, 62, died Monday, January 16, 2017 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, MD. She was the daughter of the late Luther Warren Lankford and Addie Smith Lankford.

Jessica was a 1972 graduate of Wicomico Senior High School. Upon graduation, she matriculated at North Carolina Central in Durham, NC and the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore,Princess Anne, MD, receiving a B.A. degree in Biology.

She was employed as manager for 17 years of the Barnes & Noble Bookstore on the campus of the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore in Princess Anne, MD.  She was also formerly employed as a substitute teacher for the Wicomico County Board of Education until failing health.

She was a lifelong member of St. James A.M.E. Zion Church in Salisbury and a member of the former Community Choir of Salisbury.  She was also a member of the Princess Anne Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta , Inc.

A memorial service will be held 7:00 pm, Thursday, January 26, 2017 at St. James AME Zion Church in Salisbury, MD.
