Paul Edward Moore

Delmar, DE – Paul Edward Moore, 76 died Friday, December 15, 2017 at PRMC in Salisbury. 

Born in Hebron, he was the son of the late Dorothy Moore and Stanley Handy.

He was a 1959 graduate of the former Salisbury High School.  Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country for 6 years, later receiving and honorable discharge.

He was employed for 33 years with Dupont in Seaford, retiring in 1998.

He was a member of St. Luke U.M. Church in Hebron where he served on the United Methodist Men, Men’s Choir, Senior Choir and former Trustee.

His civic involvement included member of Unity Lodge #73, F&AM, P.H.A., King David Consistory #284, Abulahab Temple #206 Oasis of Salisbury; American Legion Post #269 of Sharptown, MD; Salisbury High School Alumni Association and life member of the NAACP.

His survivors include his wife of 49 years: Vivian Moore of Delmar, DE; three daughters: Melissa Ann Moore and Rodericka E. (Thomas) Hairston, all of Salisbury, MD and Paulita E. Moore of Delmar, MD; a devoted nephew, whom he reared as his son: Odell B. Jones of Delmar, DE; four grandchildren; one great granddaughter, one brother: Roland Lee Moore of Delmar, MD; four sisters-in-law, several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held noon, Friday, December 22, 2017 at New Dimensions Ministries, 1907 Jersey Road, Salisbury, MD where friends may view two hours prior to service.  Interment will be in Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron, MD.   Masonic rites will he held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 22, 2017.
