Salisbury – Samuel Arthur Williams, Jr., 79, died Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at Coastal Hospice at the Lake.
Born July 30, 1939 in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Samuel H. Williams and Omar Faye (Dennis) Williams. His late wife, Rosalee Juanita Williams died in 1985.
He was employed as a truck driver for the former Arundel Concrete Company which merged with Pocohontas Concrete, Inc, retiring in 2002 with 35 years of employment.
He was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church in Allen where he was a former choir member.
His survivors include three sons: Larry A., Steve. A. (Michelle) and Dennis F. Williams, all of Salisbury, MD; a devoted friend and caretaker: Teresa Rideout; six grandchildren: Latoya Tello, Shane, Cody and Stephanie Williams, Amari and Kassidy Peck; five great-grandchildren: Joshua, Leo, Kataleena, Zaleeyana and Elijah; one sister: Mary Lee Bailey of Princess Anne, MD one brother-in-law: Harold (Lorraine) Turner; five sisters-in-law: Constance Polk, Helen R. (Leo) Cherry, Dollie Mae (J.R.) Reeves, Lucy Jane (Bill) Thompson and Nellie Turner, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Five siblings:George H. and John W. Williams, Thirtkill Tilghman and Martha McNeil. preceded him in death.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 25, 2019, at Friendship United Methodist Church where friends may view two hours prior to service. Interment will be held in the church cemetery.
