Anna Mae Jones Dockins, 78, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family Friday, October 2, 2015.
Born in Dorchester County she was the daughter of the late Edward Howard Jones and Mary Della Jones Singletary.  Her late husband, Clifton Odell Dockins preceded her in death July 2014.
Anna was educated in the Dorchester County Public School System.  She dedicated her life to Christ at an early age and was called into the ministry shortly thereafter. As a result of her dedication to her ministry she earned a certificate of Licensed Ministry, Evangelistic World Outreach Inc., and an Associate of Ministry degree, both from the former Christian World College of Theology, Salisbury, Maryland and Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies from the Logo's Christian College of Jacksonville, Florida.  Anna was a faithful member of New Dimensions Ministries, and served on numerous boards and committees until her health began to fail.  Anna has evangelized in Maryland, Delaware, Texas and Germany.
She retired as a Wicomico County school bus contractor for more than 30 years and a licensed foster care parent for more than 40 years.
Her survivors include five children: Beverly Jackson, Salisbury, Maryland, Dr. Lawanda Dockins-Mills (Tyrone), Hebron, Maryland, Col (R) Chauncey Dockins (Cynthia), Elkridge, Maryland, Anitra Appleby (Rev. T.J.), Springfield, Missouri, Robin Hull, Delmar, Maryland.
She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Elizabeth Chase of Vienna, Maryland; one brother, Gilbert Jones (Bertina) of Dover, Delaware; nine grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She also leaves to mourn her church family and many friends.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her grandson, Victor Jackson and thirteen siblings.
A Home Going Celebration will be held Saturday, October 10 at 11:00 a.m.  at New Dimensions Ministries, 1907 Jersey Road, Salisbury, MD 21801 where friends may view, Friday, October 9, from 6:00-8:00 p.m  and again on Saturday one hour prior to service.  Interment will be held Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at the Eastern Shore Veteran's Cemetery in Hurlock.
