Obituary

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. Psalm 23:1

Annette Harriet Harmon, 71, of Snow Hill, Maryland, was born March 30, 1953, to the late William Johnson Jr. and Elsie Harmon. She was called to eternal rest on the morning of October 29, 2024, while at Snow Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Annette received an education in the public school system at Church Street Elementary in Stockton, Maryland, and Worcester High School in Newark, Maryland. She held various jobs throughout her life, including Merritt's in Stockton, Maryland and Dunes Hotel, in Ocean City, Maryland. Her last place of employment was McDonald's, in Snow Hill, until her health began to fail. She began her Christian journey at Coolspring United Methodist Church. She was a member of The Helping Hands choir and served as an usher. Later, she changed her membership to Free Indeed Ministries Inc., where she also served as an usher.

Affectionately known as "Net," she was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Annette was known as a jokester and loved 'cracking jokes' and spending time with family and friends. She could easily be found at a card table. She was skilled at playing card games with family and friends, such as: Spades, Pinochle, and Pity Pat. She enjoyed watching Gunsmoke and her favorite television game shows with her son, Jaimere.

Annette freely shared her beautiful smile and did not complain despite her circumstances. Recognized for her culinary skills, her famous dishes included corn pudding, rice pudding, and chicken and dumplings. Her favorite local dishes included chicken and cheesesteak from Chicken Man Restaurant, chicken and dumpling platters from Dayton's Restaurant, and her favorite fish filet sandwich from McDonald's.

Annette leaves to cherish fond memories with her three children: Sharmaine Beauford of Marion Station, Maryland, Tyrone Beauford Jr. of San Antonio, Texas, and Michelle Harmon of Snow Hill, Maryland, and bonus children, Jim and Patrice Beh, both of Scranton, Pennsylvania, seven grandchildren, Anganikka and Jessica Spence, Tykira and Tyrique Beaufird, Sean Johnson, Takhai Wise, and My'Jhae Waters, seven great-grandchildren, Ci'anah and Cae'rah Harding, Jaimere Spence, Ky'ier Mitchell, Jazlyn Miles, Kabre'a Johnson, and Carter Harrison, two brothers, William Harmon (Sandra) of Chester, South Carolina, and Edward 'Rock' Johnson (Terri) of Stockton, Maryland, sister-in-law, Christine Marshall of Berlin, Maryland, several nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Annette was preceded in death by her son, Michael Harmon, brothers, Kevin Harmon and Frank Marshall, sister, Beaulah Stewart and grandchildren Antonio Wise Jr. and Myla Waters, and other extended relatives.

Annette leaves fond memories and good laughter with special friends and family: her brother, Edward 'Rock' Johnson, Donnie Taylor, Ansheai Waters, and Janice Bratten; also, the staff at Snow Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation, who were faithful in attending to her needs during her illness.

Annette will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and loved ones. Memories will forever be engraved in our hearts and live on with everyone. As a family, we will continue to "Lift my eyes to the Hills from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord which made heaven and earth" Psalm 121: 1-2
