Obituary
Westover - Catherine H. Doane, better known as "Kitty" died Sunday, December 28, 2013 at her home on Fairmount Road in Westover, Maryland.
Born in Crisfield, she was the daughter of the late Grover and Ella Mae (King) Waters. Her late husband, Samuel Doane died April 2010.
She was a graduate of Crisfield High School. She also attended Wor-Wic Community College and received certification as a Medical Secretary.
She was formerly employed as a seamstress with a local shirt factory in Fruitland and also as a nurse for the former Peninsula General Hospital, now PRMC for more than ten years. She later became a medical secretary for the practice of Dr. Christjon Huddleston in Salisbury.
She was a member of Salisbury Evangelistic Church of Deliverance in Salisbury, Maryland.
Her survivors include three children: Anthony (Paula) Doane of Denver, CO, Samuel Doane, Jr. and Michelle Doane, both of Westover, MD; seven grandchildren: Pavi-elle and Raymon', Kurstin, Stanley, Devon, Duran and Ayonna; one great-grandson: Landon; five siblings: Agnes, Sharon, Vanessa, Marvel and Elliott, in-laws, nieces and nephews.
