Charles (Charlie Boy) Thomas Henry, 74 died Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the University of Maryland Medical Systems in Baltimore, MD.
Born in Berlin, he was the son of the late Harry Sr. and Carrie (Purnell) Henry.
He was employed with the Town of Ocean City as a Waste Water Plant Operator for twenty five years, retiring in 2003 and also with Ocean City Transportation Dept. as a bus driver for 30 years, retiring in 2008.
He was a member of Jehovah Tabernacle Holiness Church in Sinepuxent where he served as an usher, cook and choir member.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Pearline Henry of Delmar, MD; four children: Wanda "Jeanie" Henry and Jimmy (Paula) Foreman, all of Salisbury; Charlene (Willie) Mumford of Delmar, MD and Brenda Ayers of Berlin; eight grandchildren: Shiquita (Dwayne), Oliver, Terrace (Deshawn), Willie, III (Silver), Shaniese, Windell, Briana and Jimmy; ten great-grandchildren; eight siblings: Sarah Copes, Evelyn (Jesse) Johnson, Julia Henry, Virginia (Clifford) Kee, Linda (Theo) Hobbs, Harry (Lucille), Dale (Delaphine) and Clifton (Betty) Henry; six sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law and a host of nieces and nephews.
Two sons: Lawrence and Lester Brittingham and three brothers: Earl, Robert and Rev. Joseph Henry preceded him in death.
A funeral service will be held noon, Friday, May 8, 2015 at Mt. Enoch Holy Church in Salisbury where friends may view on Thursday evening from 6-8 pm and again on Friday, one hour prior to service. Interment will be in St. Paul U.M.C. Cemetery in Berlin, MD.
