Charles Douglas Jones, 67, was born on July 2, 1955, in Salisbury, MD to the late Betty Pearl Jones and Charles Creston Jones. He peacefully departed this earthly life on August 22, 2022, in Salisbury, MD.

Bud, as he was known by his family and friends, was educated in the Wicomico County School system.

After graduating, he joined the ARMY in 1977.  He worked many jobs throughout his life, finally retiring from Coppin State University. Upon Charles' retirement, he moved back to Jesterville, MD and spent his days enjoying watching westerns, sitting in the yard, and visiting with the many families and friends who would stop by to chat. Bud enjoyed working on cars and going to US 13 Dragway International Speedway.

Charles was preceded in death by two children, a son and a daughter, Danika Elizabeth Jones, his mother, Betty P. Jones and his father, Charles C. Jones as well as a niece D. Victoria (Vikki) Gale.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories, two daughters, Selena Elizabeth Jones, and Anissa Elaine Jones, both of Salisbury, MD.

His sister, Joan Gale, his niece Sarah (Andre) Briddell, a great niece, Ashely Gale Morisseau (Roldy) a great nephew, Dion Briddell as well as an aunt, Hazel Bishop, 6 great-great nieces.

A graveside service will take place at Elzey United Methodist Church in Jesterville, MD on, Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 10:00 am
