Charlotte's Journey

Charlotte E. Harmon, 97, transition peacefully from this earthly life into the arms of her loving Heavenly Father on December 6th, 2022, at the home of her daughter, Joyce Smith. Charlotte was born July 3, 1925, to the late John and Laura Jones Powell.

Charlotte attended the public schools of Worcester County. She was united in holy matrimony to her one and only love Benjamin F. Harmon. From this union they had two daughter Joyce Smith and Mary Davis.

She was a faithful member of New Bethel United Methodist Church until her death. She was member of Post 231 Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Duncan Showell, in Berlin, Maryland. She was member of the VFW Post 10048, Pocomoke, and a member of the Cootie Pup Tent 10048, Pocomoke, Maryland. She also belonged to the Happy Club of St. Paul United Methodist Church.

Charlotte loved life and she was always on the move. Charlotte had an infectious smile and laughter, and she loved spending time with family. Whenever you came to Charlotte's house, she would always say this is the house of plenty and everyone was family. She also loved going to the casino just eat and meet friends. Her famous words where I don't have an ache or pain.

She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Joyce (Charles) Smith Sr, Berlin, grandchildren, Francine Johnson (Willard), Whaleyville, Charlene (Jonathan), Charles Jr (Marchel) Geraldine (Saunder), all of Berlin, William Harmon, Salisbury, seven great grandchildren, and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Benjamin, her daughter Mary, her grandson, Eddie and her brothers John Powell, Wallace Powell, Isaac Powell, Hayward Powell, Edward Jones, Martin Jones, William Powell and her sisters, Laura Taylor, Mary Crawford, and Roxie Cotton.
