Salisbury – Dallas Montgomery Banks, Sr., 59, died Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.
Born here, he was the son of the late Nicolas and Naomi (Polk) Banks.
He was a graduate of James M. Bennett High School. He enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country, receiving an honorable discharge in 1977.
Upon his discharge, he attended the Culinary Institute of America in New York. He was formerly employed with several area fast-food chains.
His survivors include his wife: Geneva Banks of Towson; children: Crissee (Harry) White of Salisbury; Dallas, Jr. of Killeen, TX, Noah and Sarai Banks, both of Towson; seven grandchildren; five siblings: Jacqueline (Linwood) Jones of Baltimore, MD; Nicholas, Jr. of Cockeysville, MD, Vincent (Sharon) of Salisbury; Walter (Dianna) of Clinton and Anthony Banks, Sr. of Fruitland, MD; several aunts, uncles and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Jolley Memorial Chapel in Salisbury. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Eastern Shore Veteran's Cemetery in Hurlock.
Funeral services are entrusted to Jolley Memorial Chapel of Salisbury, MD
