Obituary

Salisbury – Dan Irving, Jr., 78 died Friday, December 21, 2018 at Wicomico Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Salisbury where he had been a resident since August 2018.

Born in Dawson, GA, he was the son of the late Dan, Sr. and Johnnie Maude (Hamilton)  Irving.  His late wife,  Patricia Anne Reid Irving died in 1971.

He relocated to Princess Anne, MD at the age of 3.  He received his formal education in the public schools of Somerset County. He was a 1961 graduate of the former Somerset High School.

He was formerly employed with Peninsula General Hospital.  He retired after 25 years from Delmarva Power & Light where he was a 1st Class technician.

His survivors include two sons: Reginald Reid, Sr. of Medina, Ohio and Christopher Stevenson, Sr. of Salisbury, MD; five grandchildren: Reginald, Jr., Chris , Jr., twins Whitney and Britney Stevenson and Ryan Reid; five great-grandchildren; one brother: David Hall of Salisbury, MD; two brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces and nephews.  He also leaves a devoted friend: Phyllis Randolph and her family.

Besides his parents and wife, two brothers: Willie and Charlie Irving preceded him in death.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm, Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Jolley Memorial Chapel, P.A.  in Salisbury where friends may view one hour prior to service.

A private interment will be held at a later date.
