Obituary

Pasadena, MD–Dorothy May (Dot) Adkins, 88 peacefully departed this life Monday, June 24, 2019 at the home of her son in Pasadena, MD.

Born in Newark, MD, she was the daughter of the late Walter R. and Florence Jane (Young) Harmon.

She retired from the former Hudson Foods in Berlin, MD.

Dorothy was a member of Calvary U. M. Church in Berlin, MD, where she was a member of the Senior Choir, United Methodist Women, and the former Calvalier's.

Her survivors include two children: Norman (Patricia) Adkins of Pasadena, MD and Shirley (Ward) Holland of Bishopville, MD; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother: George (Jacqueline) Harmon of Salisbury, MD; three sisters: Ruth (Floyd) Pinder of Laurel, MD, Elmira Spady of Salisbury, MD, and Roxie (Henry) Wise of Newark, MD; one sister in-law: Alice Harmon of Virginia Beach, VA; several nieces and nephews.

Three brothers: Selby, John and William (Bill) Harmon; and one brother in-law, James Spady, all preceded her in death.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Calvary United  Methodist Church in Berlin, MD, where friends may view one hour prior to service. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
