Salisbury – Douglas Irvin Parsons, Jr. (Doug), 57 died Thursday, April 25, 2013 at his home in Salisbury.

Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Douglas I. Parsons, Sr. and Catherine Winder Parsons.

He was a 1974 graduate of Wicomico Senior High School where he excelled in football and the band.  Upon graduation, he matriculated at Towson University in Towson, MD.

Doug was formerly employed in retail where he was a savvy salesperson.  His employment included Outten Brothers and Sears to name a few.

His Christian training was received at Wesley Temple United Methodist Church in Salisbury.

He is survived by one daughter: Jodi M. Parsons of Crisfield; a brother: Rev. Pierre Parsons of Bridgeville, DE; cousins: Karen W. Carter of Irving, TX, John R. (Kimberly) Webster III of Upper Marlboro, Austin Carter, John IV and Dante' Webster.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Jolley Memorial Chapel in Salisbury where friends may call one hour prior to service.  Interment will be in Green Acres Memorial Park in Salisbury.
