Elenor Franklin Wilson, 96 died Monday, August 3, 2015 at her Flower Street home in Berlin, MD.
Born here, she was the daughter of the late John and Norah (Robbins) Franklin. Her late husband William Wilson died in 2010.
She was employed in Dietary Dept. of the Worcester County Board of Education, serving at Berlin Middle School until her retirement in 1978. She was also formerly employed in housekeeping at the Commander Hotel in Ocean City.
She was a lifelong member of St. Paul U.M. Church in Berlin where she served as an usher, Altar Guild member, Communion Stewardess, United Methodist Women, Finance Committee, PPR Committee and the Gospel Trudettes. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Duncan Showell Post #231 in Berlin.
Her survivors include three nieces and one nephew: Iris Mapp of Ellicott City, MD, Pam (Matthew) Kee and Fran Franklin, all of Berlin, MD and Charles (Janice) Franklin of Upper Marlboro, MD; and a host of great nieces and nephews.
Four brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 8, 2015 at New Bethel U.M. Church where friends may call one hour prior to service. Interment will be in St. Paul U.M. C. Cemetery in Berlin.
