Ethel (Oakley) Snellings, 92, formerly of Mt. Pocono, PA, died Friday, January 24, 2020, at Coastal Hospice at the Lake, in Salisbury.

Born in Raleigh, NC, she was the daughter of the late Elvis and Lily (Canady Oakley.

She made her home in New York for 41 years and moved to Mt. Pocono, PA in 2003. She became a resident of Salisbury in 2017.

She was employed as a private housekeeper for over 70 years.

She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC.

Her survivors include a daughter: Maryann Martin of Salisbury, MD; a grandson: Todd McCloud (Elaine) of Bloomfield NJ; two granddaughters: Tiffani McLean, of Salisbury, MD, and Karen Oakley, of Cincinnati, OH; eight great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, January 31, 2020, at Jolley Memorial Chapel, PA, 1213 Jersey Road, Salisbury, MD, where friends may call one hour prior to service.

Cremation will follow.
