Eva Elizabeth Parker, 82, died Friday, May 9, 2014 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. She had been a resident of Wicomico Nursing Home for the past three years.
Born in Portsmouth, VA, she was the daughter of the Louis and Vashti (Moorehead) Irvin. Her late husband John H. Parker, Sr. died in 1991.
She was a member of Church of God and Saints of Christ in Salisbury where she was the choirester.
Her survivors include one son: John "J.J." H. Parker, Jr. of Salisbury; two grandchildren: Corey (Nicole) Jones of Severn, MD and Sheena Williams of Salisbury; nine great-grandchildren; four siblings: Amos (Jane) Irvin of Tamarac, FL and Mordecai (Jennie) Irvin of Washington, DC, Leah (Lorenzie) Carr of Salisbury and Elizabeth Rock of Neptune, NJ and a host of nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, a daughter: Gilda Parker and three siblings: Esther Graham, John and Nehemiah Irvin preceded her in death.
A home going service will be held 1:00 p.m., Sunday at New Life Seventh Day Adventist church in Salisbury, where friends may call one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Glass Hill Cemetery in Parsonsburg.
