Evan Preston Purnell, infant son of Miriam C. and Dean O. Purnell of Salisbury, MD was born on February 18, 2014 at the Children's Hospital in Philadelphia.  He passed away peacefully a short time later the same day, surrounded by family.  Though brief, Evan's life brought joy to those who knew him.

Precious memories remain with his parents; his big sister Lauren Purnell; special big cousin Alexa Green; maternal grandmother Marie Lourdes Casimir of Philadelphia, PA; paternal grandfather Harold W. Purnell of Berlin, MD and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a maternal grandfather Jean Lionel Casimir and paternal grandmother Alfonsie D.Purnell.

A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 1, 2014, at St. Paul UMC/The Uprising Church, 204 E. Walnut Street, Hebron, MD 21830.  Individuals may greet the family from 9:30-10:00 a.m.  Interment will be in Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron.
