Frances Marie (Sis) Robinson, 84 died Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.

Born in Mardela Springs, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Margaret (Waller) Gaines.  Her late husband George Robinson died in 1999.

She was a 1949 graduate of the former Salisbury High School where she was a member of their alumni association.

She attended Mt. Pleasant AUMP Church in Mardela Springs.

She retired from the former Yale Sportswear in Federalsburg, where she was a seamstress.  She also was the caretaker of one of her grandsons, Kevin Fisher for nine years.

Her survivors include three children: Melvin Nichols and Lionell (Jacqueline) Jackson, all of Mardela Springs and Sylvia Fisher of Newark, DE; four stepchildren: George Robinson, III, Jerome Tilghman, Phyllis Dickerson and Edward Jackson; one brother: George (Minnie) Gaines of Fruitland; a stepsister Geneva Wongus of Mardela Springs; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild, several nieces and nephews.

A brother, Dorcy Gaines preceded her in 1968.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Mt. Pleasant AUMP Church on Wallertown Road in Mardela Springs where friends may view one hour prior to service.  Interment will be in the Eastern Shore Veteran's Cemetery in Hurlock, MD.
