Garry (Butchie) Lamont Pinkett, 57 of Camden Avenue, died Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury, MD.
Born in Salisbury, he is the son of McKinley Wilson of Baltimore and Monterey Pinkett Raynor of Salisbury.
He was formerly employed with the former Bountiful Ridge Nurseries in Princess Anne and was also employed in landscaping. He often volunteered for the Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife: Kimberly Pinkett of Salisbury; one daughter: Christina Johnson of Salisbury; two step-daughters: Averia of Salisbury and Florence Johnson of Cambridge; five grandchildren; three sisters: Crystal (Louis) Dutton Smith of Salisbury, MD and Debbie (Darnell) Evans of Salisbury and LuFloyd Wright of Nelsonia, VA; two brothers: Terrance Wilson and Eugene Whiting; a special niece that he considered his daughter: Sha'da Pompilus of Salisbury and a host of other nieces and nephews.
Two brothers: Johnny Pinkett and Anthony Raynor and a sister: Sonya Raynor Pompilus preceded him in death.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, July 28, 2014 at Jolley Memorial Chapel in Salisbury where friends may call two hours prior to service. Interment will be in Metropolitan U.M. Church cemetery in Princess Anne.
