Obituary

Geraldine D. Johnson (Geri), died Friday, August 9, 2019 at Anchorage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Salisbury, MD.  Born in New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Ruth Frisby and William Allen.

She received her formal education in the public schools in Summit, New Jersey. She also attended Kean College in Union County, New Jersey.

She was formerly employed for Summit Public Library in Summit, New Jersey for several years and Barclay Bank in New York, where she retired.

She was a devoted Christian and loved to discuss the Scriptures and debate politics.

Her favorite past-times included knitting quilts, shopping and reading books. She also loved to travel, whenever someone said "Go", she was the first to be ready.

Geraldine possessed a loving and compassionate spirit and was always willing to help anyone in need.

Her survivors include a sister: Lillian E. Chandler; several nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.

Her late ex-husband, Donald Johnson, preceded her in death.

A funeral service will be held noon, Wednesday, August 21, 2019, at Jolley Memorial Chapel, P. A., 1213 Jersey Road, Salisbury, MD, where friends may view one hour prior to service.

Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery in Cambridge, MD.
