BERLIN – Gwendolyn "Glemas" Fassett, 89 formerly of Berlin, died Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Salisbury Genesis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where she had been a resident for over 16 years.

Born in Berlin, she was the daughter of the late Nettie Fassett Johnson and Jack West.

She was a member of Tyree A.M.E. Church, but attended New Bethel United Methodist Church, both of Berlin, in her latter years.

Her survivors include two children: Edith (Larry) Bishop and James (Bonita) Fassett, all of Salisbury; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; nieces and one nephew.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 5, 2017 at New Bethel U.M. Church in Berlin where friends may view one hour prior to service.  Interment will be in St. Paul U.M.C. Cemetery.
