Hazel P. Briddell, 90 died Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury, MD.
Born in Berlin, she was the daughter of the late Charles Brittingham and Lena (Morris) Johnson. Her late husband, William L. Briddell died in 1993.
She was a lifelong member of Jehovah Tabernacle Holiness Church in Berlin where she served as a church mother, communion stewardess and Women's Day chairperson.
Her survivors include six children: Sylvester Brittingham and Jacqueline (Isaac) Ayres, all of Frankford, DE; Pearline (Charles) Henry of Delmar, MD, Delores (Albert) Dennis of Baltimore, MD, William (Ramona) Purnell of Berlin and Joyce (Jesse) Holden of Salisbury; one daughter-in-law: Barbara Brittingham; twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, thirteen great-great grandchildren; six brothers, three sisters and a host nieces and nephews.
A son, Leroy Brittingham preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Jehovah Tabernacle Holy Church in Berlin where friends may call Friday, from 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday, one hour prior to service. Interment will be in St. Paul U.M. Church Cemetery in Berlin.
