After a brave but short battle with cancer, Jean Marie Reynolds Hoover passed away on October 18, 2015 at her home in Berlin, Md. Jean was 81 years young.
She leaves behind her husband, Joe Hoover; daughters, Debbie Hoover, Katrina Hoover Elkins and spouse Bill Elkins, Lisa Hoover Spinelli and spouse Albert Spinelli; grandchildren, Alicia Elkins, AJ, Anthony and Austin Spinelli.
Jean was born on December 10, 1933 in Waynesboro, Pa, to father Edgar Reynolds and mother Ruth Reynolds, who preceded her.
She grew up in a loving family and married Joe Hoover on June 20, 1953. They moved to Brookhaven, Pa in 1961 where Jean and Joe worked together building their pest extermination business. They also started their family in Brookhaven where all three of their beautiful daughters were born. In retirement Jean and Joe loved to spend time between Berlin, Md., Florida and visiting Debbie, Katrina, Lisa and their families.
When diagnosed with stage IV Pancreatic and Liver cancer in August 2015, she remained gracious, loving and thankful for her family and friends during her short struggle with the illness. Jean was a vibrant, outgoing and beautiful woman who always thought of others before self. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and others. Jean has accepted God's will and was at peace with her illness never asking why.
A memorial service will be held at the Community Church of Ocean Pines ( 11227 racetrack Rd. Berlin, MD. 21811 with a reception following the service at Joe and Jean's home (25 Stacy Ct. Berlin MD. 21811) all are welcome.
The family would especially like to thank Pastors Boyd Etter and Bob Miller for their support and guidance. The family also wishes to thank Coastal Hospice of Berlin, Md. for the support, advice and loving care shown towards Jean throughout her illness.
