Jeanette Custis Horton, 72, formerly of Salisbury, died Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at Forest Haven Nursing Home in Catonsville, MD. Born in Selbyville, DE, she was the daughter of the late Opal Watson and John Henry Custis. Her late husband, Willie Horton died a few years ago.

She was a graduate of the former William C. Jason High School, Georgetown, DE.

She made her home in the Delmar area.

Her survivors include two sons: Lowayne (Tiffany) Custis, of Laurel, DE and Eugene Custis of Felton, DE; three grandchildren: Nevaeh Custis, Kayla Land, and Nyisha Britton; one great granddaughter: Alana Young; one sister: Geraline (Bill) Morton of Salisbury, MD; one brother: Michael DeLon, of Los Angeles; one aunt: Betty White; two uncles: Preston Watson and Warner Custis; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 5, 2019, at Jolley Memorial Chapel in Salisbury, MD, where friends may view one hour prior to service.

Interment will be at Green Acres Memorial Park in Salisbury, MD.
