The best and most beautiful things in life are not seen or touched—they are felt with the heart. On Saturday, July 12, 2025, Joan Elizabeth Gale received her heavenly wings and took her place in our hearts forever. Born in Virginia, she was the beloved daughter of Sidney V. Wright and Betty Pearl Jones.

Joan completed her formal education in the public school system of Wicomico County. Upon graduation she later moved to Pennsylvania, where she worked as a Claims Representative for the Social Security Administration.

Upon her retirement, she took great joy in spending time with her family, visiting the casino with her cousin "Q", reading and helping her cousins Leroy and Carla with their catering events.

Besides her parents, preceding her in death Charles C. Jones (Dad); D. Victoria Gale (Daughter); Charles D. Jones "Bud" (Brother).

She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Gale; two grandchildren: Ashely Morisseau (Roldy) and Dion Briddell (Maria); great grandchildren: Paeja, Zaniyah, Keagan, Aspyn, Alayna and Haven; nieces: Selena and Anissa; great nephew: Antonio; aunt: Hazel Bishop; children in spirit: Jenny Price, Marlayna Anderson and Andre Briddell, and a host of other cousins, extended family and friends.
