Obituary

Berlin – John Franklin ("Jack") Jarmon, 67 died Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Berlin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Berlin, MD.

Born in Whaleysville, he was the son of the late Franklin M. and Ella (Smack) Jarmon.

He was a 1965 graduate of the former Worcester High School.  Upon graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served until an honorable discharge.  He then served for over thirty years with the Army National Guard, retiring in 2007.

He was member of St. Paul U.M. Church and the American Legion, Duncan Showell Post # 231, both in Berlin, MD and the Delaware National Guard in Dagsboro, DE.

His survivors include one foster daughter: India Dale of Berlin, MD; ten siblings: Lee Jarmon of New Castle, DE and Charles (Verda) Jarmon of Killeen, TX; Edith Mulkey of Rochester, NY, Ida Mae (James) Williams of Ellendale, DE; Catherine (William) Whaley, Elaine Jarmon and Anna Wright, all of Berlin, MD; Peggy Showell and Joyce (Isaac) Jones, all of Chester, PA and Barbara Doughty of Pleasantville, NJ; a host of nieces and nephews.

One brother, William Jarmon preceded him in death.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Berlin where friends may call one hour prior to service.  Interment will be in the Eastern Shore Veteran's Cemetery in Hurlock, MD.
