Salisbury – Johnnie L. Thomas, Sr.  84 died Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Aurora Senior Living of Manokin, in Princess Anne, MD.

Born in Baconton, GA, he was the son of the late Zek and Mary Lou (Horton) Thomas.  His late wife Mary Thomas preceded him on July 4, 2017.

He was employed for several years at Perdue Farms, Inc., retiring in 1989.

He was a member of Family Worship Center under the former leadership of Bishop Jesse E. C. Abbott.

His survivors include three children: Sharlie Mae Quimbley of Albany, GA, Johnnie L. (Ritha) Thomas, Jr. of Salisbury, MD and Pastor Michael (Irene) Thomas of Vienna, MD; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, eleven great-great grandchildren; one sister-in-law: Maggie Smith and a host of nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife, a daughter Dollie Smith Trader preceded him in death in 2003.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 20, 2017 at Jolley Memorial Chapel in Salisbury where friends may view one hour prior to service.  Interment will be in Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron, MD.
