Berlin – Kathleen (Kathy) Jeanette Sykes, 65 died Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at her home in Berlin, MD.

Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late John and Frances Rizzo.  Her late husband Dennis Sykes died May 2015.

She retired from the admitting office of Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore before relocating to Berlin, MD.  She was also formerly employed with the former Barrett Chevrolet of Berlin.

Her survivors include two children: Bryan (Karen Kalinock) Sykes of Greenbackville, VA and Angela (Matthew) Hasenei of Nottingham, MD; two grandchildren: Kyrsten and Alexa Hasenei; two siblings: Sam Rizzo and Patricia Waltz, both of Glen Burnie, MD; a brother-in-law: Donald (Karen) Sykes; nieces and nephews.

Friends will gather on Saturday, October 14, 2017, from 11:00-12:30 pm at Cvach-Rosedale Funeral Home, 211 Chesaco Avenue, Rosedale, MD.
