Larry David Harmon Jr., 47, was born on November 20, 1976, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, to Desiree and Larry Harmon Sr. Larry fought many tough battles for many years, and he peacefully departed this life on October 14, 2024.
Larry "Lil Larry" moved from New Jersey to Maryland very young. He received his education at Walter C. Black Elementary School in Hightstown, New Jersey, and Kreps Middle School in East Windsor, New Jersey. Larry also attended Snow Hill Middle School and Snow Hill High School, graduating from James M. Bennett High School in Salisbury, Maryland, in 1995. Larry started working at a very young age, and his first job was as a paper boy, and he took the job seriously. Subsequently, at the tender age of 15, Larry started his career at McDonalds and worked various odd jobs throughout the years. Later, Larry returned to New Jersey, where he worked at FedEx for several years. Lil Larry was the "king of comedy," spreading laughter with his radiant smile and epic dance moves. This master jokester would have everyone in stitches, and his hilarious stories would leave us wondering what was fact or fiction. And to know Lil Larry was to adore him.
At a young age, Larry received the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Hightstown, New Jersey. As an older adult, he became a member at Macedonia Free Will Baptist Church in Piscataway, New Jersey, where he enjoyed recording the services and fellowshipping with his church family.
Larry was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Zelline Dawson, and Kenneth Palmer Sr.; paternal grandparents, Bertha Lee and George Harmon; maternal great-grandmother, Annie R. Purnell; great-grandmother Agatha Crockett; uncle, Steven Harmon; and cousin, Dajuan Harmon.
Larry leaves to cherish his memory parents, Desiree and Larry Harmon Sr.; his only loving sister, Glennetta Ishmael (Thomas), three aunts, Joyce Harmon, Sandra Harmon, and Joyce Sturgis, three uncles, Ricardo Crockett Sr., Kenneth Palmer Jr. (Mary), and Michael Palmer, special aunt, who is like a second mom, Ann Palmer, three nieces, Quahasia "Asia" Jenkins, Kayla Godwin, and Malayasia Ishmael, two great nieces, Tanasia, and Alayna, two great nephews, Zion, and Amari, a wonderful and supporting friend, Andre Thompson, and a host of other extended family and friends. Larry was deeply loved and will be forever missed!
