Leatris "Lee" Morris, 88 died Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. He had been a resident of Salisbury Genesis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for over 13 years.
Born in Tutwiler, MS, he was the son of the late Albert and Flavia (Hollins) Morris.
He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean War, receiving an Honorable discharge. He was a member of the VFW Post #10159 in Salisbury, MD.
He moved to Salisbury in 1956. He retired as a self-employed truck driver.
His survivors include five children: Arnold (Thelma) Morris, Anthony Morris and Glen McBride, all of Salisbury, MD; Helena Morris Fleming of Silver spring, MD and Alden (Dea) Morris of Georgetown, DE; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; four siblings: Robert Morris, Mamie Ford, Mae Catherine Lyles and Thelma Watkins; his former wife and friend: Jean Morris and a host of nieces and nephews.
Four siblings preceded him in death.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Jolley Memorial Chapel in Salisbury where friends may view one hour prior to service. Interment will be in the Eastern Shore Veteran's Cemetery in Hurlock.
