Loretta Carter,79 died Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law Crystal and Howard.

Born in Wilmington, she was the daughter of the late Cicero and Estelle (Bronson) Carter.  Her late spouse Milton Jones preceded her.

She was employed as a nurse at Stonegate Retirement Community of Greenville, DE, retiring after 25 years.

She was a member of Peninsula McCabe U.M. Church in Wilmington.

Her survivors include her children: Willie, Maurice, Alex, Terry, Crystal, Kennard and Leon; siblings: Ellen, Christine, Rose, William and Larry; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and spouse; two sons: Sylvester and Kendall; siblings: Mary, Irene, Lillie Mae, Percy, Joseph and John and one aunt, Mary Ireland preceded her.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Peninsula McCabe UM Church, 2200 Baynard Blvd, Wilmington, DE where friends may call one hour prior to service.  Interment will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, West Chester, PA.
