Mable Dix Watson, 85 of Oneida Avenue died Friday, April 10, 2015 at PRMC in Salisbury, MD.
Born in Parksley, VA, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Audrey (Wise) Dix. Her late husband, Sylvester Watson, Sr. died in 2010.
She was a graduate of the former Worcester High School. Upon graduation, she attended the former Bowie State Teachers College, now Bowie State University.
She was formerly employed with Perdue, Inc. and Lower Shore Sheltered Workshop of Salisbury.
She was a member of the United Faith Church of Deliverance in Salisbury where she served on the Mass Choir.
Her survivors include four children: Audrey Long of Delmar, MD; Dora Watson Prince, Larry and Melvin (Janice) Watson, all of Salisbury; six grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; two sisters: Dellaphine Johnson of Baltimore and Clara (Willard) Fisher of Pocomoke City, MD; one brother: Walter Dix of Salisbury and a host of nieces and nephews.
Three sons: Sylvester, Jr., Jerry and James Watson; one sister: Novella Taylor and one brother Willie Dix, Sr. preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the United Faith Church of Deliverance in Salisbury. Interment will be in Mt. Wesley U.M. Church Cemetery in Snow Hill. Friends may view Friday evening from 6-8 pm at Jolley Memorial Chapel in Salisbury and on Saturday, at the church, one hour prior to service.
