Maggie E. Spence, 89 died Sunday, December 14, 2014 at her Teagle Road home in Berlin, MD.

Born in Berlin, she was the daughter of the late Walter F. and Maggie (Lockwood) Briddell.

She was a member of Tyree A.M.E. Church in Berlin where she was an usher and choir member.
She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary #231, Duncan Showell Post in Berlin.

Maggie retired in 1980 from the former Chesapeake Foods in Berlin, MD.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Spence of Berlin; five children: Elder Ronnie (Minister Tanya) Briddell and Pastors Dowayne (David) Blount, all of Harrisburg, PA; Bobby Briddell of Lebanon, PA; Drexel (Marilyn) and Royce Briddell of Berlin, MD and Shamel Briddell of Pocomoke, MD; fifteen grandchildren: Shanta Mauro, Syngred Witts, Richie Alridge, Shyla Geary, Douglas, Derrick, Carlos and Malachi Briddell; Katrice Henry, Marion Fletcher, Tosha Miller, Arthur Ford, Yerou and Babatu Johnson and Tarik Blount; a host of great grandchildren; one sister: Marian Briddell of Berlin; three godchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Two children: Derrick and Carlos Spence and eight siblings preceded her in death.
