Mary L. (Tip) Quinton, 92 of the community of San Domingo died Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.
Born near Laurel, DE, she was the daughter of the late William and Ruby (Johnson) Stanley. Her late husband George B. "Bernie" Quinton died in 1990.
She retired from Perdue Farms, Inc. of Salisbury. She was also formerly employed in the farming industry and the former Marvel Package Co.
She was a lifelong member of Zion U. M. Church in the community of San Domingo.
Her survivors include eight children: Bernard A. "John" Quinton, Newell E. "Sky" (Tanja) Quinton and Bernadette C. Cannady, all of San Domingo; Alma "Bonnie" (Rev. T. David) Hackett of Salisbury; Mary Ellen "Susie" (Arthur, Sr.) Jones of Landover; Barbara Ann Quinton of Rockville; Allen N. "Buddy" Quinton of Baltimore and Peggy (Everard) Hughes of Chesapeake, VA; sixteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren and three nieces: Betty, Sharon and Phyllis.
A son: William "Billy" Quinton; one sister: Frances "Dolly" Clark and two brothers: Oliver "Bud" and Newell E. "Thin Man" Stanley preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be held noon, Monday, August 12, 2013 at Zion U.M. Church in San Domingo where friends may view two hours prior to service. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
