Obituary
Berlin – Mattie M. Leonard, 85 of here, died Friday, July 29, 2016 at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin.
Born in S.C., she was the daughter of the late Charlie Hodge and Addie Lice, and the stepdaughter of Effie Hodge.
She retired from Dunes Manor in Ocean City after employment of twelve years. She was a member of Cross of Christ Church in Berlin.
Her survivors include one daughter: Ealease Jarmon of Jamaica, NY; three grandchildren: Katrina and Dawn Hodge, both of New York and Ivory Jarmon of Berlin, seven great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren; a devoted niece who was like her daughter: Gladys Gaynor of Berlin, MD; three siblings: Edel (Junior) Williams of Cambridge, MD, Doris Williams and Norman Hodge, both of New York and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Cross of Christ Church where friends may view one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the St. Paul's UMC cemetery in Berlin.
