Olivia Jones, 84 of 304 Louise Avenue in Fruitland, MD died Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Salisbury Genesis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Salisbury, MD where she had been a resident for the past nine years.

Born in Portsmouth, VA, she was the daughter of the late Grace Jenkins and Melton Jones.  Her late husband, James Julian Jones, Sr. died December 25, 2009.

She was a former member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses - Fruitland Congregation and in 2011 professed Christianity and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at Cathedral of Love Church in Salisbury, MD.

She was formerly employed with the former Dulaney Foods in Fruitland and retired from the Wicomico County Board of Education in Environmental Services.  She also received certification as a Private Duty Sitter and provided home care for the elderly and chronically ill.

Her survivors include three sons: Dennis Jones of Alexandria, VA, Jonathan (Rhonda) Jones of Port Arthur, TX and Ricky Jones of Upper Marlboro, MD; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, two sons: Jesse and James J. Jones, Jr. preceded her in death.

A funeral service will be held noon, Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Jolley Memorial Chapel, 1213 Jersey Road in Salisbury where friends may call one hour prior to service.  Interment will be in Green Acres Memorial Park in Salisbury.
