Berlin – Otis Lee Johnson, 85 died Friday, November 25, 2016 at his home in Berlin, MD.

Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Lizzie Johnson and Purnell Shelton.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

He was formerly employed as a Security Guard for Capri Condominums in Ocean City, retiring in 1993.  He was also employed for the Food Lion in Berlin.

He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Dublin, MD and a former member of Tyree A.M.E. Church in Berlin.

He was also a member of the American Legion, Duncan Showell Post #231 in Berlin, MD.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Pastor Sadie D. Johnson of Berlin; one daughter: Reunite Johnson of Grasonville, MD; one son DaShon Johnson of San Diego, CA; two brothers-in-law and a host of nieces and nephews.

Four siblings preceded him in death.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Tyree A.M.E. Church in Berlin where friends may call two hours prior to service.  Interment will be in the church cemetery.
