Peggy Anne Dashiell-Evans of Delmar, DE made a peaceful transition and entered eternal rest on January 7, 2025, at Delmar Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Delmar, DE. She was age 76. Peggy was born on May 2, 1948 to the late Richard "Teddy" John Dashiell of Fruitland, MD and Pearl Frances Dashiell of Delmar, MD.
Peggy graduated from Salisbury High School in Salisbury, MD and later married Lorenzo "Chubby" Evans, from Dover, DE in 1972. She later decided to serve her country and joined the Maryland National Guard, 200th Military Police Company, from 1980 to 1986. Peggy always had a skill in hair styling and decided to attend the Del-Mar-Va Beauty Academy and earned her Cosmetology License and became a hair stylist in Salisbury, MD. Peggy eventually became the owner of her own hair salon, named "Pizazz". Peggy was also employed at Web Craft and Goodwill, in Salisbury, MD.
Peggy became an active and devout member of Union Methodist Church. She became a member of the Union Gospel Choir, Union Women of Faith, served on the Culinary Committee and Food Pantry, Garden Committee and also served as the past President of the Usher Board and former Lay Servant. She loved attending the weekly bible study group, led by Minister Hardy and sharing her words of inspiration and poems during special occasions at church.
Peggy was a devoted sister, aunt, cousin, great-aunt and friend, known for her caring heart and words of faith and inspiration. Always thinking of others, she would faithfully call and check-in on her family and friends. In her spare time, Peggy loved watching tv and movies, especially old westerns. She would spend endless hours playing videos games on her tablet.
Peggy is survived by her (Sister) Mary (Dwight) Golden of Jacksonville, FL. (Aunt's) Betty McCoy-Fooks and Mary Savage (both) of Salisbury, MD. (Nephews) DeAngelo (Robin) Morris of Fontana, CA; Timothy Morris of Henderson, MD and Alan Morris (Deborah) of Cape May, NJ. (Great-Nephews) Phillip Morris of Salisbury, MD; Demonte (Amanda) Morris of CA; Denzel Morris of CA and Devin (Angel) Morris of CA. (Children of Great-Nephews) Joshua, Carter, Jonas, Bella, Devine Allen, Matias, Teronnica, Terell and Tyrell; and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard "Teddy" and Pearl Dashiell and sister Selma A. Morris.
