Obituary

Ronald James Brunstetter,Sr.,  75, born January 24, 1940 died peacefully at home in Berlin, MD on Tuesday, September 15, 2015.

Born in Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Francis and Anna Hohl.

He enjoyed hunting, trapping and fishing from youth and was an avid outdoorsman.  He worked at many things from an enlistment in the Army, to an assembly line in Michigan, to construction of a power plant in Nebraska.  His greatest skill was as a butcher, which he practiced for 40 years.  He was last employed with Sam's Club in Salisbury, where he began as a butcher and ended as an exit greeter.  He knew almost all of his customers by name.  He had a gentle way about him and people found him easy to like.  He was giving of his time and resources to friends and family alike. He had an active relationship with the Lord.

He is survived by six children: Sheila, Jennifer, Leah, Katrina, Ronnie, Jr. and Josh; eighteen grandchildren, whom he adored; three siblings: Joanne Young, Sandra Mattie and Robin Staves and several nieces and nephews.

A son, Christopher Brunstetter, and a sister, Frances Sandor preceded him in death.

A memorial service will held 2:00 pm., Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Sonrise Church Office, 10959 Worcester Highway, Berlin, MD.
