Ronile
Lewis
May 28, 1972 – March 24, 2026
Ronile Lewis, 53, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on May 28, 1972, Ronile spent most of her life in Wilmington, Delaware, before later moving to Salisbury, Maryland, where she resided at the time of her passing.
Ronile was a loving and devoted mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, and partner, who meant so much to everyone who knew her. She was known for her kind heart, generous spirit, and the way she always put others before herself. She found joy in helping others and had a special love for children and her community.
She loved cooking and had a passion for fashion. Ronile had a vibrant and funny personality and was best known for always cracking jokes; truly a comedian in her own right, always bringing laughter to those around her.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Lola Turner; her father, Ronald Hinson; her sister, Latonyia; her niece Rakiesha Williams; and her nephew, Robert.
Ronile is survived by her loving partner, Carlos Vanegas. She leaves behind her three children, Davon (Mia), Dr. Lester Anderson, and Kw’mesha; and her grandchildren Ja’mier, Lola, and Jayden. Her children and grandchildren were her entire world.
Also left to cherish her memory are her mother, Diane; and her two sisters, Tereasa, and Ashyria Johnson; and her nieces, Ivy, Ashley, Lola’ah, and her nephew La’sai. She is further survived by her sisters on her father’s side, Tonia, Sonia, Ronshell, Veronica, Kelly, and Sharnett; her brother Rahiem Brown; and her many nieces and nephews.
Ronile shared a special bond with, and leaves behind, her best friend, Takia Hackney, who was like a sister to her.
Ronile’s strength, warmth, and selflessness will never be forgotten. She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her forever.
