Berlin – Sadie B. Dennis, 98 died Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Harrison Senior Living of Snow Hill, where she had been a resident since March 2018.

Born in Bolivia, NC, she was the daughter of the late John Hood Evans and Rosa (Fullwood) Evans Greer.  Her late husband, John "Jack" Dennis preceded her in 1984.

She was employed as a domestic worker for the William and Mary Mayne family of Ocean City, MD for several years until her retirement.

Sadie was a former member of Refreshing Fountain Ministries of Millsboro, DE and transferred her membership to Ambassadors for Christ International Ministries of Berlin, MD where she held the title of Church Mother.

Her survivors include four daughters: Joyce Dennis Henderson (Wayne) of Bear, DE; Doris (Harley) Pierce, Annette (Bernard) Bowen and Shirley Davis all of Berlin, MD; twelve grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Two children: Carol Nadine White and Melvin J. Dennis preceded her in death.

A funeral service will be held noon, Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Ambassadors For Christ Church in Berlin where friends may view two hours prior to service.  Interment will be in St. Paul U.M. Church cemetery in Berlin.
