Obituary
Sarah H. Duffy, 86, died Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Salisbury Genesis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Salisbury.
Born in Princess Anne, she was the daughter of the late Lucresher Holbrook and the step-daughter of the late Carl Handy. Her late husband, Alfred Duffy died in the late 60's.
She retired after twenty years from the Wicomico County Board of Education where she was a custodian at James M. Bennett High School in Salisbury.
She formerly attended St. Michael's Church of God in Christ in Princess Anne and was a member of Lighthouse Church of God in Christ in Salisbury.
Her survivors include two children: Leroy (Beverly) and Tyiesha Duffy, all of Salisbury; two sisters: Edna McCarthy and Leslie Jones of Salisbury; ten grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law: Florence Duffy of Salisbury and a host of nieces and nephews.
Two sons: Robert and Roland Duffy; two grandchildren: Santez Duffy and Jason Lewis and a brother: James Handy preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 13, 2014 at St. Michael's COGIC in Princess Anne where friends may call two hours prior to service. Interment will be in Metropolitan UMC Cemetery in Princess Anne, MD.
