Selena Mary Godfrey, 75 died Friday, August 7, 2015 at her home in Seaford, DE .
Born in Seaford, she was the daughter of the late James and Ethel (Conway) Godfrey.
She was a 1958 graduate of the former William C. Jason High School. Upon graduation, she matriculated to Delaware State University, earning a Bachelor's degree in elementary education.
She did further studies at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, receiving a Master's degree.
She was employed for 40 years as a K-5th grade teacher for the Lakewood Board of Education, at Lakewood Elementary School in New Jersey.
She attended Mt. Enoch Holy Church in Salisbury, MD.
Her survivors include an uncle, two godchildren, and a host of cousins.
A brother, George Godfrey preceded her in 2005.
