Obituary
Eden – Thomas (Tommy) H. Pitts, 88 of S. Upper Ferry Road in Eden, died Monday, February 9, 2015 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Henry Pitts and Dorothy (Jones) Pitts Carter. His wife, Edna Burke Pitts preceded him in death.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, receiving an honorable discharge. He retired after many years with the Container Corp of PA.
He is survived by one son, Tyrone T. Pitts of Philadelphia, PA; four grandchildren: Sonya Douglass, Gregory Pitts, Sherri Ghee and Tasha Pitts; eleven great-grandchildren; two special cousins: Hazel King and Barbara Williams, both of Eden, MD, several nieces and nephews.
Two children: Brenda and Wayne Pitts and two brothers: Andrew and Harold Pitts preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held, 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Trinity United Methodist Community Worship Center in Mt. Vernon, MD where friends may view two hours prior to service. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
