Tonsha Shanell McCray of Frankford, Delaware entered eternal rest on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Tidal Health-PRMC in Salisbury, Maryland. Tonsha was born on May 10, 1989, in Lewes, Delaware to Lyna McCray and Thomas Broughton.
Tonsha was affectionately known as, "Muff," to many family members and friends. Muff enjoyed making everyone laugh and acting like a clown. Tonsha attended school through the Indian River School District. She was a "Jackie of all trades!" Tonsha enjoyed drawing, cleaning, styling hair, being a traffic control flagger. She was a warm, friendly and loving person. Tonsha was preceded in death by her son, Jhy'Mez Garrison; grandmother, Sherredia Blake McCray; and uncle, Barry Hudson. Tonsha will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Lyna McCray and Thomas (Shantay) Broughton; her special friend, Aristotle Johnson; two children, McKineo Middleton, Jr., and Ah'mayzzn McCray; Godson, Jayden Hicks; sister, Courtney Broughton; maternal grandfather, Alfred McCray; paternal grandmother, Betty Broughton; Godparents, Borchia McCray, Burlessa (Tony) Waters, Jujuan McCray, and Elmer Johnson; three aunts, Nina Blake, Carlyn McCray, and Lonell McCray; two uncles, Steven Broughton and Darnell McCray; and a host of cousins and friends.
