TONY'S JOURNEY

Tony Lamont Warner Sr. was born on August 17,1965 in Salisbury, MD to the late Irvin Warner Sr. and Ethel Warner. Tony departed this life on Saturday, March 8, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife and children.

Tony was raised in the best part of Mardela Springs, MD, Wallertown. He was educated in the Wicomico County Public Schools System and graduated from Mardela High School in 1984. As a talented athlete, he excelled in wrestling and became the 1984 State Wrestling Champion. After high school he worked in various industries such as Nutter's Crossing as golf maintenance, Mundy Contractors and Fluor Daniels at Dupont perfecting his trade as a welder and fabricator. In 2007, he achieved his greatest career milestone and started his own business, TDT Pools & Landscaping. Working along with his son, Tony Jr., and daughter, Dawn, he specialized in swimming pool installation, maintenance, and landscaping design until he retired in 2022.

Tony accepted Christ at an early age at his family church, Mt. Pleasant A.U.M.P Church, where he was a dedicated member. Serving as a church delegate for the Annual Conference and lead the music department. Tony had an outgoing spirit and enjoyed meeting people wherever he went. As an avid outdoorsman, Tony found joy in fishing, hunting, boating, and ATV riding. He also had a passion for attending local car shows and restoring classic cars, like his most recent project "Sophi", his 1951 Plymouth Cranbrook. His love for sports led him to coach wrestling at Salisbury Middle School in 2007, he was a black belt in Taekwondo, studying under Grand Master Park at Parks Martial Arts. More recently he had taken up photography, learning from his niece, Kenisha. Most of all Tony enjoyed cutting up and acting a fool with family and friends. He especially loved being with his grandchildren, which he affectionately called his "Babies".

Tony is lovingly survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Vanessa Jones-Warner of Salisbury, MD; his children, Tony Warner Jr. of Salisbury, MD; Tisheika Warner of Princess Anne, MD; Ekara Nichols of Daytona Beach, FL; and Dawn Warner (Lamonica) of Salisbury, MD; his mother, Ethel "Sugarpig" Warner of Mardela Springs, MD; and his beloved grandchildren, Airman 1st Class Kiontre' Carroll of Moody, GA ; Cameron Carroll, MaKayla Warner, and KaLiyah Warner of Salisbury, MD; Kedrick Redding Jr., Kimora Burns, and Kaleb Burns of Daytona Beach, FL; Akira Hampton of Salisbury, MD; Aubrie Taylor of Princess Anne, MD; Kyle Warner and Layla Chaibou of Salisbury, MD. He also leaves behind his siblings, Arnitrea Mitchell of Mardela Springs, MD; Irvin Warner Jr. and Kevin Warner Sr. both of Salisbury, MD; his sister-n-law, Vanessa Warner of Salisbury, MD; his uncle's, Albert "Biggie" (Betty) Mitchell of Clevland, OH; George Gaines of Salisbury, MD; his aunt, Betty Mitchell of King George, VA; and his Godchildren, Tonya Anderson, Tynita (Melvin) Marquez, and David Schoolfield of Atlanta, GA; and Toneisha DeShields of Salisbury, MD. Additionally, he is survived by a special niece-daughter and nephew-son, Keoshia (Lee) Chaibou of Salisbury, MD; life-long friends Oscar (Andrea) Price, Louis Fortt, and Tracey (Tina) Smiley all of Salisbury, MD; and his most dedicated customers Mr. Donnie and Mrs. Mimm of Salisbury, MD. Tony's memory will also be cherished by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. In addition to his father, Irvin Warner Sr., Tony was preceded in death by a daughter, Keshia Warner; his sister, Debbie Jones; his grandmother, Elsie Morgan; his nieces, Shenekia Hughes and Kiana Warner; a special aunt, Gertrude Holbrook; a special uncle, Edward "Junebug" Mitchell Sr.; and a second uncle, James "Teenie" Mitchell Sr. Tony's legacy of love, laughter, and hard work will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
