Vattisee N. West, 64 of Vienna, died Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury, MD.
Born in Cambridge, she is the daughter of Aljanette Butler Perry of Vienna and the late Roland Johnson. Her late husband, James West preceded her in death.
She was a 1967 graduate of Maces Lane High School in Cambridge.
She was formerly employed with Coldwater Seafood of Cambridge; the former Dresser-Wayne Co. and the Country House, both of Salisbury; Black & Decker of Easton and B&G Pickle of Hurlock.
She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and also attended St. Paul's Episcopal Church, both of Vienna.
Besides her mother, other survivors include four siblings: Donald of Salisbury; Romonia of Lewiston, NC, and Vernita Butler of Delmar, DE and Ginneene Williams of Vienna; two uncles and one aunt: William, Jr., Wilbur and Arenda Butler; one great aunt: Elizabeth Chase and several nieces and nephews.
A son, Anthony Butler preceded her in death in 1995.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Wesley U.M. Church in Vienna where friends may call one hour prior to service. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
