Berlin – Virginia (Ginny) Mae Briddell, 75 died Friday, August 26, 2016 at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, MD.

Born here, she was the daughter of the late Glenmore Purnell and Maggie (Jarmon) Briddell Purnell.

She was formerly employed with the former Showell Poultry/ Perdue Farms, Inc. , Showell, MD where she retired after 33 years of employment.

She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Berlin.

Her survivors include seven children: Daniel, Sherry and Theresa Briddell, Janice Leonard and Donald Jarmon, all of Berlin; Eugenia Mumford of Millsboro, DE and Valerie (Curtis) Mercer of Bishopville, MD; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; ten siblings and a host of nieces and nephews.

Two sisters preceded her in death.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Friday, September 2, 2016 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 305 Flower Street in Berlin where friends may view two hours prior to service.  Interment will be in the church cemetery.
